“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.” – Psalm 23:4
Let me share something with you; it was never promised to you that you wouldn’t have trouble or go through challenges in life. Psalm 23:4 encourages us on how to walk through the valley of the shadow of death and fear no evil. This verse lets you and I know that life was never promised to be an easy road.
But even though it was never promised to be easy, God has already given you all the strength that you need when you are going through trials and tribulations. You need to know that the Lord is always with you no matter what you are going through in life. Let the Lord lead and comfort you in whatever situation you are in.
Let me explain further what this verse means for you:
Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death.
The righteous path at times goes through valleys and no valley is darker than death. But for the believer, death transitions us into eternity. When our loved ones die, we are not to be sorrowful as those who have no hope because we know we will see them again.
I will fear no evil because thou art with me.
Security systems, locks and chains, firearms and bulletproof vest all work to protect you but not like the comfort of the Holy Spirit. When the Lord is with you and I, we can fear no evil.
I want to ask those who are challenged in this season as I agree with you in prayer for victory. I instruct you to make this prophetic declaration with me now, no weapon formed against me will prosper and what was working against me is now turning in my favor. I know a lot is happening around you, but the Lord is with you at every step on your journey through life.
